Enterprise Topic

The story I chose to take a deeper look into is the Anoka-Ramsey Nursing Program. I am very familiar with this because both my sister are going into the nursing field. My older sister Kim has applied for the nursing program three years in a row and finally made it her third year, regardless of her perfect scores. My oldest sister Krystal is now taking generals, working towards entering into the program. I will be interviewing Kyla Dropkin, one of the professors and Kara Link and Renee Cocchiarella , two students in the program. I think this will make for an interesting topic for the simple fact I closely know people in it and it is a major reason A.R.C.C. is so populated.

  1. Wow that does sound interesting. I think it is news worthy because of how populated it sounds and how hard it is to get into. Good job.

  2. Great idea courtney. I think this is definitely news worthy since the nursing program is so popular at ARCC. A friend of mine applied to the nursing program two consecutive and finally made her second year. It's crazy how hard it is to get into. I look forward to reading your article!

  3. This is a great idea. My cousin is looking at going the ARCC for the nursing program and i think it's newsworthy because many people may be wondering why or if the program is all it is said to be. I can't wait to read your article!

  4. Sounds like a good topic, I had a girl in one of my classes that said it was really hard to get into that program. What are you going to focus on about it? How hard it is to get in or how hard the classes are or the type of person the school is letting into the program?

  6. I'd like to see something about why it took your sister three years, with perfect scores, to get in.
